FIRST CYCLE DEGREE PROGRAMME

The programme lasts 7 semesters in the daily, full – time mode – S (on site) and 7 semesters in the part – time mode – NS (extramural).

The studies are completed with obtaining a Bachelor degree (inżynier).

WHAT SUBJECT IS IMPRTANT TO PASS DURING THE MATURITY EXAM?

A modern, foreign language and two subjects from the following: mathematics, information technology, physics, geography, social studies, Polish language. 

MAJOR:

  • CULTURE AND HYGIENE AT WORK  (S, NS).

PREDISPOSITIONS

Attitude connected with searching for new solutions in human activity, enabling to improve the security level; willingness to develop in technical sciences; management ability.  

CAREER

A qualified Bachelor knowing the issues of culture and hygiene at work will be prepared to work in various economic units as well as national and local administration.  The graduate may be appointed to the positions connected with problems of safety engineering including culture and hygiene of work. Such jobs will satisfy people who are interested with work environment, culture and hygiene at work, analysis and evaluations of occupational risk, designing and implementing technical and organizational solutions minimizing the impact effects of work process and human relationship. They will be able to demonstrate effective ways of controlling the compliance to regulations and safety rules, controlling work conditions and standards of safety, conduct trainings, hold the organizational functions in the area of safety management.  

The acquired knowledge and skills predispose the graduate of that Major to work either on individual positions or in team cooperation.

Among the basic educational contents it is possible to find e.g.: mathematics, physics, chemistry, a foreign language.  

The facultative educational content includes e.g.: management of safety and hygiene at work, organization, assignments and methodology of work, organization and functioning of safety systems and rescue system, technical systems of securing, monitoring of safety hazards, measures of safety and hygiene at work, modelling of hazards, psychology and sociology, selected technical subjects.

CAREER

A well educated Bachelor, a specialist in the area of broadly understood safety systems and technical systems of people and assets protection will be well prepared to work in various economical units and national or local administration. The graduate may be employed on positions connected with problems of security engineering including safety and work hygiene, design, utilizing and maintenance of people and assets protection systems, monitoring systems of technological processes and environment protection. Such jobs will satisfy people who are interested with analysis and evaluations of occupational risk, design and implementation of technical and organizational solutions minimizing the effects of human process of work. Here, it will also be possible to demonstrate effective control of compliance to regulations and safety rules, control of work conditions and safety standards, conduct trainings, perform organizational functions in the area of safety management. A wide spectrum of the acquired knowledge and skills results in developing predispositions to work either on individual positions or in teams.
