FIRST CYCLE DEGREE PROGRAMME

The programme lasts 7 semesters in the daily, full – time mode – S (on site) and 7 semesters in the part – time mode – NS (extramural).

The studies are completed with obtaining a Bachelor degree (inżynier).

WHAT SUBJECT IS IMPORTANT TO PASS DURING A MATURITY EXAM?

A modern, foreign language and 2 subjects from the following: mathematics, information technology, physics, geography, social studies, Polish language.

CAREER

The Bachelor of process and industrial systems is a particularly sought specialist in the job market as a “Bachelor of the future”, connecting interdisciplinary knowledge and practical skills in the sphere of production engineering with the managerial competences applied in technical areas. Future industrial Bachelors are offered with a wide occupational choice of development and creating individual paths of career.  They may choose from job offers such as: Bachelor of production, Bachelor of design, process and industrial systems designer, Bachelor of materials, specialist of lean, Bachelor of road maintenance, Bachelor of measurement systems, process technologist, Bachelor of Sales, Bachelor of quality, Bachelor of generation systems or a Bachelor of production preparation.   

The work of an industrial Bachelor requires a lot of technical knowledge connected with e.g.: 3D modelling of products development, digital prototyping, reverse and concurrent engineering, simulation of generation processes, technical preparation of production, design of technological and production processes, process optimization of implementing innovative technical solutions in generation systems as well as creativity in order to solve practical issues. In today’s economical practice, the ability of associating issues concerning highly specialized technologies and industrial processes with the elements of management and entrepreneurship is much appreciated.

The graduates of this Major are characterised with the acquired knowledge of methodology and techniques influencing the improvement level of process and industrial systems productivity, technical culture of staff, actions ensuring the sustainability of the company market competitiveness. Therefore, they will enjoy the appreciation in all the different types of industrial branches with special attention to the mechanical and electrical branches of industry. 

The assessment granted by the National Accreditation Committee to the department guarantees a high level of education quality.

The basic educational contents include e.g.: mathematics, micro and macro economy, ecology and environmental management as well as economical law.

The facultative educational contents include e.g.: management of production and services, management of quality and safety, logistics in a company, processes and production techniques, application of information technology in production engineering.

The Bachelor of management is a highly qualified specialist being able to integrate knowledge of the area of production and services management with a thorough understanding of expectations of consumers and business requirements towards currently created technical solutions.

Bachelors of management are characterised with key competencies of cross-cutting and interdisciplinary nature including e.g.: creativity, innovativeness, formulating and solving issues connected with management of production processes with the use of engineering methods and techniques supported by information technology systems, costs and production quality management, management of human resources including organizing and leading the work teams.  

An employer, who is interested in adjustment to the shape and requirements of the contemporary market, finds it generally very profitable to hire one specialist in a dual role – first degree graduate and a manager.  Thus, the graduates shall not have any problems with finding employment in companies of all the branches, especially in the sphere of production and service management.
